What this content is

Every dossier records work we carried out on our own hardware. It is written for people who already have the tools and the skill. It is not an official service manual and it is not endorsed by any manufacturer.

Safety, and risk

Disassembling electronic equipment can destroy the equipment, burn components, set batteries on fire or injure you. Some procedures involve mains voltage and charged capacitors. Judge the risk yourself and take proper precautions. Anything you do after reading this site is done at your own risk.

Accuracy

Component layout, potentiometer values and part numbers change between board revisions. We state the revision each dossier was written against, but production batches vary. Check your own board and the service documentation before you touch anything.

Intellectual property

The text, diagrams and generated board drawings on this site belong to us. Print or save them for your own repair, but do not republish them in bulk or use them to train a commercial model. Console names mentioned here (Famicom, Game Boy, Mega Drive, PlayStation, PC Engine and others) are trademarks of their respective owners; we are not affiliated with them.
